At St. John's, ministry is not the work of a few — it is the calling of the whole congregation. Discover the programs and communities where you can grow, serve, and belong.
From the very young to the very wise, St. John's Church offers meaningful ministry programs that meet people exactly where they are. Whether you are looking to deepen your faith, build friendships, serve others, or explore what it means to live a life of purpose, there is a ministry at St. John's for you.
Our Youth Ministry is a vibrant community for teenagers from grades 7 through 12. We provide a safe, energetic, and spiritually stimulating environment where young people can ask honest questions about faith, build meaningful friendships, and discover how their gifts and passions connect to God's purposes in the world.
Weekly gatherings, seasonal retreats, service projects, and leadership development opportunities give youth a faith that is active, informed, and deeply personal.

Every Sunday during both morning services, children from ages 4 to 12 enjoy age-appropriate, engaging programming designed to introduce them to the stories, values, and faith of the Christian tradition. Our Sunday School teachers are trained, caring volunteers who create a warm and nurturing environment for young learners.
Through storytelling, crafts, music, and prayer, children at St. John's develop a foundational faith that grows with them through life.

Our Wednesday evening Bible Study is one of the most beloved gatherings at St. John's. Drawing adults of all ages and backgrounds, this weekly meeting provides a structured yet open space to explore Scripture, wrestle with faith questions, and support one another in the journey of discipleship.
No prior theological knowledge is required — only a willingness to learn, to listen, and to grow in your understanding of God's word and its relevance for everyday life.

Our Senior Fellowship is a cherished ministry that honours the wisdom, experience, and spiritual richness of our older members. Meeting twice monthly for fellowship, devotional study, and shared meals, this group provides vital community connection for seniors in Woodstock.
We also coordinate pastoral visits, transportation to Sunday services, and special programs throughout the year to ensure that every senior in our congregation remains connected, cared for, and celebrated.

Music has always been central to worship at St. John's. Our Music Ministry encompasses a traditional choir, a contemporary worship band, and a children's choir — offering multiple avenues for musically gifted members to serve the congregation through song and instrument.
Whether you are a seasoned musician or simply someone who loves to sing, our Music Director David Reyes welcomes all who wish to use their musical gifts in worship. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings.

At the foundation of everything St. John's does is prayer. Our Prayer Ministry coordinates personal and corporate intercession for the congregation, the community, and the world. Every Sunday, trained prayer team members are available after each service to pray with anyone who seeks it.
We also maintain a confidential prayer chain through which congregation members can submit prayer requests that are lifted up by a dedicated team of prayer partners throughout the week. No burden is too small to bring to God.
Get InvolvedEvery person in our congregation is a minister. Whatever your gifts — teaching, music, hospitality, service, prayer — there is a place for you to contribute and to grow. We would love to help you find it.
