There is always something meaningful happening at St. John's. Come be part of the community, the celebration, and the service.
All events are held at St. John's Church, 141 – 622 Dundas Street, Woodstock, Ontario, unless otherwise noted. All are welcome.
Join us for a special combined service honouring the mothers and caregivers in our congregation and community. A time of gratitude, music, and a message celebrating the profound gift of nurturing love. All mothers will be recognized during the service.
A free, family-friendly event open to the whole Woodstock community. Enjoy lawn games, face painting, baked goods, live music from our choir, and great conversation. This is one of our favourite opportunities to open our doors wide and celebrate the neighbourhood we love.
Our beloved annual Vacation Bible School returns for another week of faith, fun, and discovery for children aged 4 to 12. Each day features themed activities, scripture lessons, music, crafts, and outdoor games. Registration opens June 1st. Spaces are limited — early registration is encouraged.
Our quarterly Senior Tea is a cherished gathering that brings together the senior members of our congregation and the broader Woodstock community. Enjoy fine tea, homemade baked goods, live piano music, and the warmth of wonderful company. Transportation assistance is available for those who need it — please call the church office.
Prepare your heart for Christmas with our four-week Advent Reading Series. Each Sunday sermon explores one of the traditional Advent themes — Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love — as we journey toward the celebration of Christ's birth together. Special candle-lighting ceremonies will take place each Sunday morning.
One of the most beloved services of the entire year. Join us on Christmas Eve for a beautiful candlelight service of carols, scripture, and prayer. This service is designed to be a meaningful and accessible experience for the whole family — including those who may not regularly attend church. All are deeply welcome.
Every first Saturday of the month, St. John's opens its doors for a free, hot community meal for anyone in Woodstock who wishes to come. No registration required. Prepared entirely by our volunteer kitchen team, this monthly meal is an expression of our commitment to practical hospitality and our love for our neighbours.
Our Youth Ministry's annual summer camp weekend is three days of faith, adventure, and community for teenagers. Campers enjoy outdoor activities, worship sessions, small group discussions, and the kind of deep friendships that last a lifetime. Limited spots are available. Register through the church office before July 31st.
